Résumé of Daniel Tischler
-Born in 1973 and in the suburb of Lucerne, shooting a first series in Polaroid’s about my friends in the environment of A2, the highway from north to south. Introduction to photography journalism, taught by my parents, both photographers. Traineeship by Associated Press as a press photographer and learning the classic photo laboratory craft.
-Thereupon first commissions with employment contracts for daily newspapers; Vaterland, Luzerner Tagblatt, Luzerner Neueste Nachrichten.
-1990 Winner jury prize, Swiss Youth-Picture-Prize.
-1991 As a 17 year old, youngest staff for the photographic agency Keystone Press as a photographer journalist, inner Swiss area, 1991-1995, 40-60 %.
-Snowboard team rider for Goofy and Regular.
-1996 BA (Hons) / Visual Communication, Pathway Time based Media, University College for the Creative Arts at Maidstone, England.
-Six Month concentrations on the surf of Pacific Ocean, Central America.
-2000 Snowboard team rider for Paranoia
-1999-2002 Part-employment contract as a photographer journalist for Neue Luzerner Zeitung. Commissioned works for Velvet Creative Office and diverse, national and international magazines and newspapers.
-2003 Particularly considerable: Shooting star Showcase International Portfolio Review 2003 in Zürich, Category Fine Arts
-2004 -2006 Picture editor Neue Luzerner Zeitung, regional, national und international. Coordination of the photography team und picture purpose in collaboration with the photographers. Representation those pictures in all daily sittings.
